Yard Goat Images produces seriously entertaining programs appealing to those who are nostalgic for old steam and diesel locomotives. We travel extensively to railroad museums and tourist railways to document examples of 19th and 20th century locomotion. We also cover rare mainline steam specials and one-time rail events.
Even though there are many operating vintage trains today, their futures are fragile as volunteers age, costs to preserve and operate increase, and the public’s interest in yesterday’s technological wonders fades. Our aim is to document what we have today, and hopefully stir some embers for continued preservation and attraction.
