More than half of our passengers traveled from areas outside of California, and many were repeat passengers from our previous excursions. Delivery from Trinity Industries, Inc., Dallas, Texas, began in mid May 2006. Total cost of the new cars exceeds $8 million. The 112-ton capacity, 42-ft. long cars are equipped with end-of-car cushioning and feature a continuous trough with moveable crossbars to accommodate steel coils ranging from 30 to 84 inches in diameter.
