Riding the Hankyu - Oyamazaki to Kyoto, Japan
Author: jonjonjonjon

A companion posting to my previous post of stills from the Hankyu RR.

This covers from the Hankyu station at Oyamazaki to the bridge across the Katsura river.

Thank you, Hankyu!

Nice group of clips! The mom yawning and his son being indifferent show that railfanning doesn't startle people in Japan.

Any story on the track work with concrete ties? Were schedules changed to accomodate what looks like single-tracking in the area?

Just south of the Katsura station was a section of new elevated track that looked like it wasn't far from being put into service. The northbound track was on the bridge and the southbound traffic was still at street level, so I'm guessing it didn't affect traffic flow.
