Passenger Trains > #5 picks up a UP SD70M in Grand Junction

Today (March 23)

Something must have happened in the rockies, it lost 2 hours between Denver and Glenwood Springs. Got to Grand Junction missing one of it's engines and left with one of UP's.

Guess again. On the head end, behind the dorm car and in front of the diner.

Nice video clips, at least 5 and 6 were still normal passenger trains after all these years compared to everyone else except the Builder!

tough for me to stomach 2 coaches is all, but that may sufficient for the demand which amtrak and UP has pruned

too bad amtrak does not run more coaches grop one at G jct add one at sparks w/b, and do the opposite, especially near weekends and during the summer

i read that an the missing amtrak unit may have been left in granby, with a computer / brake situation, and also had engine problems

Two coaches is all that Amtrak is going to supply for the train..........even year round right now. Is it sufficient for the potential capacity that the train "could" be carrying - no. 

Nice videos. Sure looks like a slow approach to the station stop. Good looking train with all those cars and the baggage car up front
