What is status of grade closing protection...got to be brutal to stand in that weather manning grade crossings

My keyboard doesn't have them snowflake keys on it. Or maybe I can't find them just like I can never find the 'ANY' key when a program tells me to press it...

79 mph with some slower sections as you get closer to downtown.

Please answer the question if you can. Have they found a way to fix the failed PTC yet, or are the poor crossing guards still forced to stand out there in these arctic conditions?

Shot these from the car yesterday. I know they were goint at least 65 heading along the airport. Quality isn't the best, but zero degrees out and through a window of a car. 

1: Departing airport
2: about to cross over highway
3: crossing over highway. Usually the trains have to stop to go into the single track about this point, but not today. Full speed ahead.

hope the crossing guards are getting hazard pay for the cold!
