All I can say is - Amazing when Amtrak wants to find sleepers. And in this case they had to find four of them. Why they can't find two for regular service and put them on the overnight NEC train is beyond me. Run it all the way to the tidewater region of Virginia though (ala the Twilight Shoreliner). I thought that train was better and had a chance at getting a few extra markets, besides the overnight between Washington DC and Boston.

Is the Cardinal still operating with two Viewliners or is it back to just one? Increasing the Viewliner Sleeper utilization should be something Mooreman can easily go after. Too many sleeping cars are sleeping in Sunnyside Yard in the evening. They should be serviced, so they cab be sent out and used on another route. Some sort of scheduling should be able to lead to be better utilization.

I agree, about time they put more than 2 sleepers on a train! Nice video too, anyone know if a guy named Jim's still working for Amtrak, he works out of JAX!
