Two Amtrak Acela's pass one another on the corridor at Rahway NJ as a New Jersey Transit New York bound train pulles into the station.

look and watch closely at the eastbound Acela coming at the camera ... there are some ride quality problems with some swaying of the motors and cars through the switch area but the biggie is when the train gets to the spiral of the curve it hits a pretty significant deviated alignement or a pumping low profile on the low rail right at where the wooden platform is ... you can see the locomotive start a significant sway ... something the accelerometer in the motors should've picked up ...

All that, and moving way under maximum capable [as opposed to authorized] speed for the equipment.

​if you're suggesting traveling at a slower speed will produce a greater effect of deviated movement you'd be incorrect ... speed only induces deviated movement ... #2 track through that area is TT speed 125mph ... if he's not doing every bit of it he's doin close to it  ...

All that, as well, but my point is they're not doing 150 MPH + and they're capable of it.  Nothing more.

​ that can be said for every passenger train in the country that can run at 90mph (110mph with the new baggage cars) but are limited to 79mph ...
