Private Cars on the Empire Builder 10/4/15

1. Amtrak 7 WWestbound with the Private Car Dagny Taggart. I apoligize about how out of focus it is. I dropped the camcorder getting it out of my trunk and coudnt get it to focus for a while. 

2. Amtrak 822 leads Amtrak 8 the Eastbound Builder with the SLRG 1394 "Prairie View a former GN Full Dome.

Thanks.  A few hours after your video was taken, the 822 would become the first train across the new BNSF/CP diamonds in LaCrosse, WI. See last photo in following thread:

Nice video!  Hey --- It wasn't that much out of focus,
after all.  Nice to see PVs on the Builder.  And two that
are rarely seen.

I guess the Dagny Taggart has broken away from the AAPRCO convention is St.Louis, which ends on Monday with
a special move back to Chicago.

The Dagny Taggart didn't go to the AAPRCO this year. You may be thinking of the Babbling Brook which is the head car this year. They look similar but slightly different. Are these cars sisters?

Not really sisters. The Dagny has the large windows that three of the Brook series cars had.

It was Dagny Taggert on the AAPRCO special. They left St. Louis early.
