The 2016 PC - Train UT42-5 with Bowser SD40-2'S
Author: navarch2

A QUICK VIDEO SHOWING CANADA-BOUND PC TRAIN UT42-5, A UNIT SLAG TRAIN THAT COLLECTS RESIDUE MONTHLY FROM THE ADIRONDACK SPECIALTY STEEL MILL IN NORWOOD AND DELIVERS IT TO CIMENT QUEBEC. TODAY IT HAS A PAIR OF CP SD40-2'S AND IT IS SHOWN LEAVING "STEEL" - A KIND OF COMMUTER STATION FOR THE BIG INTEGRATED MILL. A D&H SWITCHER SITS NEARBY.

THESE BOWSER UNITS ARE INCREDIBLY GOOD RUNNERS WITH EXCELLENT RUNNERS, AND GREAT DETAIL.

MY APOLOGIES FOR THE ERRANT SMOKE DETECTOR BEEPING IN THE BACKGROUND LOL....IT IS HARD WIRED BUT FOR SOME REASON HAS A BATTERY TOO...

I WILL POST MORE PROGRESS PICTURES OVER THE WEEKEND AS WELL...

As always, nice entertainment (if you like unit trains, in this case).  The roadbed in the foreground looks quite different than on the left or right side of the screen.  The ties look like they are deeper.  What am I not seeing here?

I t looks like the ties are hanging out over the cork and causing a shadow.

Good video.

My apologies....that thing started doing that the same morning. I need to buy a sufficiently tall ladder to reach it.

The battery in the smoke detector is so it works when your power is out.  After the new battery you might have to "test" to reset it.
Nice video..thanks for posting./Roger Beckett
