I was walking Dixie for this one, who is skittish of people but not trains. She’ll occasionally howl when we’re by the tracks and a train horn sounds, it’s fun.

My other beagle, Lucy, loves people (Dixie does too if she knows them) but hardly ever notices any sounds when outdoors. Lucy’s nose becomes the primary sensory tool and all others are shut off!

I wanted to name her Phoebe or Queen when we got her but my then 8 year old daughter won with Dixie!
