Georgia Central Stack Train
Author: akpsteam

A little treat on the Georgia Central Tuesday evening with GC L785 passing through Pembroke, GA with a GP20 and GP9 leading the train long hood forward taking it from Ellabell, GA to the HOG in Vidalia, GA on the former Seaboard Air Line.

Awesome long hood forward. Also great K3LA and great to see the conductor or engineer waving.

Thanks! It was the engineer. Was told the lead engine was a former GN unit set up to run long hood forward.

Video of the week!!!  Great horn, great sound of the older style mechanical bell crossing gates (unlike the weird electronic ones), and 2 old Geeps pulling modern double-stacks on a historic line.  Just great!!

Thanks for showing whole train. Where does it go to and from? Where was it filmed? All the cons were marine, so they must end up at a port; Savannah?

Nice video. And yes, thank you for showing the entire train! That's always good.
