CN 5291 East, Friday, September 16, 2016, at about 5:30 PM. At MP 176.21 CN South Bend Subdivision, Battle Creek, Michigan. At this location, the public crossing is now permanently closed. It was, up until a couple weeks ago, South Division Street. Back to the west, the public crossing of East Fountain Street is also now permanently closed. This is part of the Battle Creek Quiet Zone. I've been trying to get photographs of the project as it is progressing. In the near future I hope to be able to show some of the improved crossings within the project.
