On a chilly and windy day today, the Isle of Man Steam Railway hosted a charter trip covering the entire line one-way from Douglas to Port Erin. Here are a few clips of the day.

I was there Thursday and Friday last week and I am very envious of your photography and videos.
On my first trip, the compartment held eight people and was very stuffy due to a coach load of people also 
enjoying the experience. Return to Douglas and I had a compartment to myself to enjoy the sights and sounds.
Did notice the steam engine being prepared and cleaned out of the window both days.

If you ever get the opportunity to visit the Isle of Man, the steam railway and the electric railway trams are great days out.
The museum at Port Erin is a fantastic place to visit and find out more about the history of the railway and the stations 
along the various lines. And I can recommend the Station Hotel across the road from the station at Port Erin.

Currently in Crewe having enjoyed the Heritage Centre and the Exeter West Box and its operating 120 lever frame.
Something to see and experience.

Don't believe I have seen 2-4-0T's before.  Doesn't look like much space for coal storage.
The last car with its 'baywindow' is an interesting piece of rolling stock.  Does it have a special name other than coach?

An empty charter?

The last car is the car the guard (conductor) rides in, with bay windows so they can observe the train.

The train is empty in the photos because the charter attendees are all in the photo lines!

Universally known as a brake carriage in Britain and Ireland.
