More Steam on the Keighley & Worth Valley today
Author: RailRyder

On a very cold and clear morning today, we see British Railways Standard 4, #75078 top and tailed with LMS CLass 2MT #41241 on a short shuttle train, closely followed by the London and North Western Railway Coal Bank #1054 and LMS 5XP Jubilee Class Bahamas #45596 taking a heaving train south out of Keighley. My thanks to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway for four days of Steam Gala that was simply excellent! It is amazing the amount of work that goes into a production like this. It was simply outstanding!

I think the LMS 5XP Jubilee Class Bahamas #45596 was one of the modified locomotives whereby BR was testing advanced steam designs that would extend the life of steam power circa 1961. Anyone have details ?
Rescued from the scrap heap.
