More movies Roberto Fellini ! I think the smoke is a worn out SD9e on the Weed local switching Black Butte? My guess. Really shows what a race track the stretch of uphill track east of the water tank area is.

SD9 would be my guess as well. The YW 19 only passed through Black Butte twice in the 1990s, going to and from the big Trains Unlimited McCloud excursion on 30 April/1 May 1994, and it had no fire in it going both directions.
