My video tribute to the late Jim McClellan
Author: chico

Today (Sunday October 16, 2016) I read of the passing of Jim McClellan, one of the "Men Who Loved Trains".

I was passing through Porter, Indiana hard by the ex NYC/PC/Conrail main so I stopped for a few minutes to catch a couple trains, my usual custom, but today was different. For the first day we were without the man who's unique perspective "of the property" we observers, fans, and railroad historians came to know as "the Conrail X".

Thanks to him and others we have this healthy railroading environment in the northeast US as witnessed in 45 minutes of random action at Porter I captured today, boiled down to 45 seconds. Highball Mr. McClellan.
