Always enjoy your video action from so long ago. Regards, Jim Evans Date: 04/11/15 08:25 Re: SP=Cascades 8-1-93. Author: ntharalson FiveChime Wrote:

I'm probably totally wrong on that, but I'll agree on enjoying the videos that have been posted. Nick Tharalson, Marion, IA Date: 04/11/15 08:47 Re: SP=Cascades 8-1-93. Nice to see a train before the day of the "Rattle Can" vandals! Steve Panzik Chiloquin, Or Date: 04/11/15 23:45 Re: SP=Cascades 8-1-93. Author: Fizzboy7 Highly entertaining to watch! Neat comparing today's rolling stock to what was seen in the 90's.

They are almost completely unlettered except for what appears to be small SSW reporting marks and numbers. Did they actually do that in the Golden West program or am I just seeing things and they are not really SSW reporting marks?

I saw those too and assumed they were something else altogether. Reporting marks are indeed SSW7-something. Most GWS cars did not have SSW marks, so it's hard to pinpoint the story here. I've also not heard of GWS cars traveling around w/o full logos. Anyone else knows, would love to learn more. |
