Nick Tharalson, Marion, IA Date: 04/09/15 08:11 Re: Colorado Joint Line Author: bobdavis Great variety! It was hard to beat the sound of five GE's on a southbound coal train from the frontage road west of I-25 between Castle Rock and Larkspur.
Bob Date: 04/09/15 09:14 Re: Colorado Joint Line Author: MartyBernard I really like the neat last clip with the reflections.
Marty Bernard Date: 04/09/15 12:47 Re: Colorado Joint Line Author: ATSF5669 That was the standard set up for power at that time. I was working as a condutor at this time. Five up front and two manned pushers on the back. It was cool because the old GN SDP40's were in two and three unit pusher sets.

Once I started dispatching I hated to see them in a lineup because they were such pieces of junk. That was where I first heard the phrase GE does not stand for "good engine"
