Steam & Excursion > UP 6936 7-14-1992 WB Beowawe,Nev. Far-Shot from I-80

Hope you can see train on this far-away shot, after upload and encoding. A big bolt of lightning "brackets" the left and right sides of picture at very beginning, and 6936's headlight is barely visible at same time,coming out of Beowawe, but it gets clearer as it gets a little closer, and looks like he's hitting about 90 MPH!?.Then I head west toward Winnemucca, and the Impending thunderstorms brewing out west are very evident! This shot is B4 nite takeoff/departure of 6936 that I posted a few days ago...I was able to pass 6936 train at Battle Mountain,because it slowed down to a crawl, evidently to let passengers have dinner?

Thanks Tom, really appreciate all the nice replies! Really makes all the time and trouble it took to get these analog tapes converted to digital, with even 1/2 way decent results!..Yes there is lots more,but have to watch out for allowable upload quota with TO,but so far they have been very generous, great site,great people!
