Well Mary, you have some really nice scenes there. As much as I tend to dislike whistling at grade crossings, I NEVER get tire of that N&W Hooter whistle on 1218.

It sure is John. Having listened to them and seen the N&W Y and A class locomotives back in 1957, I really can't get enough of those N&W Hooters, especially when they are "played" correctly.  

Could not help but notice that Soo 1003 is having no trouble with 13 cars, but 844 has a diesel helper for only 8 cars in 2011.

It was just along for the ride.  We never heard it make any noise the several days we were filming.

Guess they hadn't figured out the controller yet?
