Great video Ed ,  no  crowds , no hoopla , just a passenger train passing by pulled by a  steam engine . Brings back memories .

nice vid Ed ... is the train heading down or up the mountain altho looking at the vid again with train gliding by it's heading down ...

another question ... is the train on the main or siding or is it directional running for each track ??? ...

Full dome is ex-Milwaukee Road.​

Train is running westbound (railroad north) downgrade on the single track and onto track 1. Laurel Run to Dupont is double track.​

Ed, I'm impressed at how much real estate you covered on the weekend.   You easilty beat the train from Laurel Run to Pittston and a whole lot more traveling besides. .  Gotta know the territory I guess.

Oh Ok. It came to us in Milwaukee Road paint, so I wrongfully assumed that was they only previous owner. Sorry about that!

For information the Milw sold to the CN six Full Dome Lounges in 1964 in think. They became CN Jasper, Athabasca, Yellowhead,Fraser,QuAppelle, Columbia. I believe the cars pretty much operated west of Winnipeg until VIA retired them in 1982. So one of those cars is the car in the picture.
