Huckleberry RR RailFan Days 2015
Author: ngfan

Saturday attended the Hucks's RailFan Day at Flint, MI. RR ran a photographers extra at 10:00 with two locations and 4 run-bys at each. First was the largest trestle on the RR and the other was at east reversing loop switch. A good crowd was on hand to ride the  special.

Middle: 464 glides past the water tank eastbound.

Bottom: 464 at speed on the straight.

The Huck RR has several historic coaches to go with the Mudhen 464. One example is coach 320 a veteran of both D&RGW's Chili Line to Santa Fe and the Silverton Mixed.

Middle: Conductor directing a back up move for a run-by.

bottom: Interior photo of 320 shows pristine condition.

In this video 464 does a blow down on the trestle. Interesting is that the fireman side has the only blowdown valve on the loco.

Beautiful equipment and a credit to their efforts but it still belongs in Colorado!

That's not unusual on smaller locomotives.

It amazes me to see that nice little mike and those cars up north.   Sweet looking equipment.   Sounds like a little rod brass attention wouldn't hurt.

And why not get the word out on my other favorite narrow gauge RR at the same time. Friends of C&TS table at the Huckleberry RR is a mutual cooperation at its finest. Lots of fun had by all.
