Empty "SUGX" coal train past the Grand Forks, ND, Amtrak station.
Author: jmulhol2

A 128-car Grand Forks, ND (specifically, the loop track at Ardoch, ND) --to-- Spring Creek Mine, MT eastbound empty "SUGX" coal train in a 1x2 power configuration is seen here exiting the BNSF Devils Lake Subdivision, splitting the signals at the Devils Lake (D.L.) Switch, taking the west leg of the wye, passing the Grand Forks, ND, Amtrak Station, splitting the signals at the F.O. Switch, and entering the BNSF Hillsboro Subdivision during the sunny, yet blustery early afternoon hours of 04/23/2024. This train had moments earlier exited the BNSF Glasston Subdivision, entered the far west end of the BNSF Grand Forks, ND, train yard onto the "passenger main" track, and then proceeded to back westbound out of the yard onto the BNSF Devils Lake Subdivision.
