Author: jmulhol2 A massive 169-car Grand Forks, ND --to-- Northtown, MN eastbound (geographically southbound) mixed manifest freight train in a 6x0 power configuration is seen here passing MP96 on the BNSF Hillsboro Subdivision in Grand Forks, ND, during the partly cloudy and breezy mid-afternoon hours of 03/26/2024. Upon passing through Harwood, ND, along the BNSF Hillsboro Subdivision just north of Fargo, ND, the crew was instructed to hold at the "light tower" before getting a route into the BNSF Dilworth, MN, train yard. Once this crew got a route into the yard, they were instructed to enter the eastbound yard lead through track 302, do a rear-end chop after line (i.e., car) #116, and pull the rest of the train down to Watts, MN, for the outbound crew to put a FRED on and continue eastbound toward their final destination of Northtown, MN.

That internet scanner for Dilworth/Fargo is working out well for you.

It's not really a PRB coal route, local coal for some sugar beet mills or something like that? Date: 03/28/24 19:32 Re: Pair of EMD SD75I motors power today's H-GFDNTW manifest trai Author: jmulhol2 bmarti7 Wrote:

I believe that those are limestone cars that eventually run to the Superior, WI, region. I see them a lot around here as well at the American Crystal Sugar factories along the Red River of the North.
