Empty oil train passing by. Floy, UT.

(March 23 2024)

I was driving to Grand Junction today and something caught my eye at the Floy siding. The lumber cars that had been stored there for over a year have been replaced by a large number of TTX intermodal spine cars. It must have happened very recently, the rails hadn't had time to rust over the top despite recent rain. While I was walking back an empty oil train passed by.

Bonus picture:
A BNSF 4-axle dash 8 that has been a regular fixture in Grand Junction for a while.

Nice video!  The ex Santa Fe Dash8s just don't look right in that scheme.
