Western Railroad Discussion > The Capitol Corridor through Aquatic Park's Eucalyptus GroveDate: 10/16/16 22:52 The Capitol Corridor through Aquatic Park's Eucalyptus Grove Author: jkkeck The recent removal of several large eucalyptus trees has opened up some new views of the Southern Pacific's historic Bayfront right of way next to Berkeley's Aquatic Park. This video, taken from West Bolivar Drive trail around 5:30 PM, captures Capitol Corridor EB train 738 and WB train 743 passing by Aquatic Park's southern end (about halfway between the Berkeley and Emeryville stations). Aquatic Park was completed in 1937 by the WPA in conjunction with the construction of the Bayshore Highway (I-80) on Bay Fill.
