Ugly Triclops UP 2333
Author: cchan006

This is from February of 2014. Few weeks later, jimB caught the same unit in this report:

http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,3340473

I was wandering around Tracy to intercept the MRVSJ (Roseville to San Jose manifest), and when I saw the leader, SD60M UP 2333, I didn't know what to think. Well, ugly, one-of-a-kind unit is something I'm willing to chase (example, ex-UP 8141, the brown-noser SD9043MAC), so I decided to experiment and went off the beaten path for some locations:

- I-580 overpass along the Oakland Sub.
- Water tank at Altamont Summit.
- Meet with MNWRV at Hearst.
- Bridge over Alameda Creek near Hearst, with ugly graffiti (Entire train shown).

Few days later, I caught the same pair of power running light engines at Emeryville, the last clip. For ex-SP SD70M foamers, UP 3975 = ex-SP 9801, and UP 3997 = ex-SP 9822.

That's all folks.

Great footage, thank you for posting and sharing.

The 3rd shot of the entire train is great.

Saw her just yesterday sitting at Watsonville Junction, and yes, she still has the brown hood, unfortunately.
