Western Railroad Discussion > UP at Devore Cajon Pass

Testing out my new HD camcorder, Canon XF200 day 2.
3/15/15 3:50pm. A south bound UP manifest slowly makes its way to Devore and the now open overpass.

The old road that leads to the crossing is blocked off from the north side of the tracks and the road on the south side to the crossing is completely gone. Right now there is a dirt path to top of the overpass that runs along the street on the south side of the tracks (looks like a nice spot for west bounds). The overpass has a pedestrian walkway on both sides, but with big screens. While I was there the vehicle traffic was very slow making it easy to walk across the street to get to the other side of the overpass to shoot east bounds (south side of the tracks).

Hwy George is the Devore Rd bridge open yet? If so have you tried video taping from there.?

Yes, it's open now. I drove across it a couple of time to check it out. Haven't shot from it yet, but will soon.
