Passenger Trains > Amtrak’s Late Star on Star Wars Day.

Amtrak 92, Northbound Silver Star, who's delays are chronicaled in another thread, arrived Southern Pines NC at 450 PM, Saturday May 4, 2024.  May the Fourth certainly has not been with Amtrak as Darth's Late Star is nearly 10 hours late in a cold dreary rain.

West Broad.  That's East Broad to left.  This is at southern edge of the historic downtown neighborhood, just south of the Illinois Ave Crossing. From here,  West Broad runs through downtown on the west side of the tracks and East Broad runs on the east side of the tracks. Only buildings between the two Broads are the depot between New Hampshire Ave and Connecticut Ave and the old freight depot which still has a CSX m.o.w. office in one corner and an event center in balance of building between Connecticut Ave and Vermont Ave.
